Diving Team

Dirk

Dirk is the man who knows it all - if you need to know anything about diving, then he’s the one to ask, you just have to see his impressive list of qualifications: ITDA C/D, BSAC Instructor, CMAS course director and PADI Master Instructor. Dirk’s from Belgium, but he’s spent the last 14 years here in Gran Canaria.

He’s been diving now for over 20 years, and diving professionally since 1997. His passion is scuba diving, which is a good thing since he’s the BIG BOSS of the diving team!

Steve

Steve’s an ITDA Sports Instructor and a PADI Assistant Instructor. He started diving over 20 years ago in England where he’s from, and with 12 years of professional diving under his belt; he’s been on the island of Gran Canaria for 8 years now. Diving is all he does. He refers to his profession as a vocation rather than a job.

He says that being a diving instructor isn’t a job, it’s a way of life, and many of the divers come back to him time and time again for that reason!

Chris

Chris is also an ITDA Sports Instructor and a PADI Assistant Instructor, but he’s also the on-site Photographer and Videographer so if you want to catch your experience on camera, then Chris is the one to talk to!

He’s from Chester in England and arrived on the island in 2006. He started diving 7 years ago and he’s been a professional diver for 5 of those. His hobbies are photography, diving and Internet Poker! 2 out of 3 isn’t bad.

Michael

Michael is from the Netherlands and he’s been on the island on and off for around 11 years now. He’s a Dive Master and he also dedicates part of his time to Sales. He’s been diving for over 30 years and working as a Dive Master for 4. He speaks 7 languages - Dutch, Spanish, English, German, French, Danish and Norwegian, and he’s also got the underwater language down to a fine art!

He loves diving and sport fishing in his free time. He doesn’t believe that he’s one of the best divers around, but he does believe that he’s a good instructor and great with people who are starting to learn how to dive.
